About Muiraquitãna

Muiraquitãna is not a mascot. She is the voice of a territory — the Baixo Tapajós — and of MuCA (Museum of Amazonian Culture), our partner institution in Belterra (Pará). Muiraquitãna was publicly launched in April 2026 as an Amazonian AI built with and for the Baixo Tapajós communities.

Her scope covers Santarém, Belterra, Alter do Chão, FLONA Tapajós and the riverine communities along the Tapajós and Arapiuns rivers. She is territorial, voice- and chat-enabled, and community-first — no folklorization.

"I am the one who keeps memory so the river can keep flowing."

Built in partnership with public, academic and entrepreneurship-support institutions. A Data Riders product, grounded in six non-negotiable principles: territorial tone, voice & chat, visual storytelling, no folklorization, community-first, curatorial trail.

Six chat modes

Muiraquitãna speaks to different people, in different ways, with different purposes — always voice-enabled and rich with visual storytelling (photos, maps, archive imagery).

Territorial Host

Welcomes visitors with an illustrated map, presents points of interest and the rhythm of the territory. Voice + visual map overlay.

Live Agenda

What's happening this weekend: events, ceremonies, classes, markets, gatherings — with photos and venue images. Voice + visual cards.

Service Guide

Local guides, pousadas, restaurants, ateliers, transport — community-first listings with photos and locations. Voice + visual gallery.

Archive Guardian

Access the collective archive: images, sounds, stories, ritual captions alongside factual descriptions. Voice narration + image viewer.

Community Copilot

Helps residents submit events, services or archive items (including photos and audio) for curatorial review. Voice-friendly + visual uploads.

Scientific Mediator

Bridges researchers and territory: finds papers, summarizes, explains Tapajós relevance — with diagrams and figures. Voice + visual figures.
